The MED3CAVES project
The MED3CAVES project is a three-year European cooperation project in the field of mediation in an underground environment.
The general ambition of the project is to promote access to employment, skills development and support for the socio-professional trajectories of mediators in the underground environment and more particularly guides in caves equipped for tourism.
It should enable to :
- Develop a better understanding of the audiences, skills, needs and mediation practices of underground touristic cavities (inventory and study of skills and professional trajectories of guides).
- Set up a co-training program between the different European partners involved in the project around questions of mediation in karst environments and create different online open training tools (MOOC).
- Experiment with new working models in the framework of an eco-social lab and create a mobile device for experimentation and educational training in the cave.
- Foreshadow a European network of stakeholders in the development of the underground environment.
The project is supported by the Universities of Grenoble-Alpes / CERMOSEM (France), Alma Mater Studiorum of Bologna (Italy) and Almeria (Spain), three national associations of touristic cave operators : ANECAT (France), AGTI ( Italy), ACTE (Spain) and by IFREEMIS.
It should start in the 2nd half of 2021 for the 2021-2024 period.
